Pricing
Shopify POS runs on a Shopify plan billed in US dollars. Basic is US$39 a month paid monthly (a yearly option exists), with an offer of US$1 a month for the first 3 months. POS Pro adds US$89 a month per location, billed yearly. Shopify doesn’t say whether GST is included. Treat these figures as a starting point and ask for a written quote.

EFTPOS & payments in NZ
Shopify POS has no built-in NZ EFTPOS terminal integration. Shopify Payments takes cards on Shopify’s own readers at 1.8% in person on Basic, including EFTPOS cards co-branded with Visa or Mastercard. To link a Windcave, Verifone or Shift4 terminal you need the paid third-party OrderMate app; otherwise staff key the amount into the terminal and mark the order as paid. Confirm your exact terminal model before signing.
